2x4 paws in Porto - part 3

Writer's picture: o mundo dos cãeso mundo dos cães

We agreed with Mázli that I should tell about the second day of our journey, because I was the one awake. It is a pity, she slept so much, she missed a lot of interesting things. As we left the town the rollercoaster journey started again. Normally I hate cars but this time it was different as we rode over the sea that I enjoyed so much. From time to time we went through tunnels and couldn’t see a thing but when we left them I could meet my new friend again. We were really high above but I could still feel the nice smell of the sea. I have to admit that I was a little bit scared but, like many times before, my curiosity was stronger than my fear.

Unfortunately after a short time we returned to the boring highway. Unusual of me, but I nodded of and by the time I woke up we were crossing mountains again. It was so high and dangerous that even the highway was like a rollercoaster. It was late in the evening when we finally arrived to our second stop. I don’t remember the name of the place, only its smell. Me and Mázli liked it but I could smell the disgust at our humans. Have I mentioned that they have no idea about what a good smell is?

There was no petting here. The man in the hotel told us that it is forbidden to bark at the rooms - that was more or less all he said. My humans were smiling but I could smell that they wanted to bite him. Naturally, we didn’t bark in our room. Only at other places.

That evening we were luckier than my humans, food-vise as we received our dinner, as usual, they, on the other hand, were grumbling from hunger. There was nothing open at that little town, apart from one shop which did not sell any food only bottles. So they bought one and drank it. By the time they finished they stopped grumbling and started yelping happily. So at the end we all went to bed in a cheerful mood in our nicely smelling little room. Have I mentioned that it was also aslope?

I have one more memory from this odorant place. We went for a walk - on leash like we always do at foreign places - to a park with a huge building in the middle. All of a sudden a big, stinky, and shaggy woman jumped out of nowhere and she started yelling at us in a language that I couldn’t understand. My humans smiled again but, just like the night before, I smelled that they could bite her somewhere it really hurts. After a few minutes of yelling - smiling - smelling we turned around and left the park. We went straight to our car jumped in and left with full gas.
