So, finally, we arrived. I gotta tell you, our rough and important job, guarding our delicacies, was fulfilled. Actually, I was the one who was on duty, Mázli was sleeping all the way. I also gotta tell you when I got out of the shaking monster, happily and loudly told everyone that I wouldn’t want to get in any of it for a while, it was more than enough. And what was supercool, besides getting out of the monster, was my old friend, Rozi. She was waiting for us. She has not changed at all. After a short greeting, she ran to My Humans, with the knot-rope in her mouth, sat next to them waiting for petting. What can I say…Golden Retriever.
I told her rapidly what an adventurous journey we had, who was the black hairpiece, Mázli, who was almost touching her belly, barking and running back and forth without stopping. She replied we would discuss it after the petting. Well, we didn’t talk much that night, unlike My Humans. I guess that’s why they were holding glasses in their hands all night long, which they refilled from time to time. They chated a lot, and in the end, they became very cheerful.
Szofi, it’s pretty obvious why you couldn’t talk much with Rozi that night. I can still recall it quite well. We were out on the street all night, smelling all the new stuff, had awsome desserts, thanks to Our Humans who were too busy with each other and the refills, and we were getting know the people who were passing by. And we were chasing each other. And flies. And cats. Oh gosh, how big cats there are here?!? So, this is a very good, small street, not too much car is coming and going but more people on foot.
I heard once My Humans talking about polite behaviour. I’m certain they said when they meet somebody the first time or bump into the neighbours and acquaintances, they always have to say hello, good morning, good day, good evening, good night, according to the time of the day. I don’t wear any kind of watch so I don’t know the exact time, and I’m quite sure humans have less hearing than us, we agreed with Szofi that we should greet everyone, and we should introduce ourselves. (Everybody has to know who we are, am I right?) Also, we have to tell them that we live here and we are watching what’s happening on the street and we will notify them if there is something we like or dislike, or we have something very important to say. Naturally, we have to say all of these things in one sentence, so we have a pretty tough job. Szofi is the senior, she greets first. She said we have to keep repeating this information, who knows, these 2-legged ones might not even have a brain. There’s something in it, My Humans always forget that I’m constantly hungry.
Szofi was right, a greeting is required here. Every-one, who passes by, say something nice, incomprehensible word for me, and also they are petting me. It is nice, but to tell the truth, they really should give us some snacks too... we keep trying to explain it to them. Szofi gets fewer of it because she sometimes tells the greeting-speech 3 times in a row and they don’t want to interrupt it. Szofi likes to be in the spotlight, but who doesn’t?
The funny thing is that everyone understands what we are saying, except My Humans. They always say we should already stop it. But what kind of manner it is not to say hello??
